RCD 6 Inch 4-Link Suspension System - 2008 F250/350 SRW 4wd - This all new system features a 4-Link suspension design that eliminates the factory radius arms. This new design provides smooth, bind free suspension movement and articulation with minimal caster change and reduced bump-steer throughout the cycle. The link bars are constructed from heavy duty 2" x .125" swaged DOM tubing. These arms utilize high articulation urethane encased flex joints at the frame mounts and heavy duty .25" plate steel clevis’ at the axle. The flex joints are greaseable via gun drilled pivot bolts and zerk fittings. Cam eccentrics on the lower arms provide for simple alignment. The sub-frame mounts that are constructed of .25" plate steel, capturing the factory radius arm mounting location as well as a laterally rearward mount, ensuring the utmost in strength and durability. A one piece track bar drop down bracket is constructed of massive 3/8" plate steel, ensuring ultimate strength, precise axle location, and bind free axle articulation. The system also includes a heavy duty forged pitman arm that ensures precise steering geometry and function. These two components minimize bump-steer by maintaining factory angles on the track bar and steering relay rod. Rounding out the front kit are progressive rate coil springs matched with custom tuned Bilstein Performance mono-tube shock absorbers which provide a smooth, precise and controlled ride. Stainless steel braided extended front brake lines, bumpstop drop down brackets, along with extended sway bar links ensure proper function of all related suspension components. The rear of the vehicle is lifted utilizing a 4.25" factory style replacement block and u-bolt assembly. What is unique about the block is that it is a one piece design with the bump-stop wing cast into it and replaces the factory unit. No “stacking” of blocks is required, or recommended, and proper compression bump travel is maintained. Custom tuned Bilstein mono-tube shock absorbers round out the rear package providing superior damping and ride characteristics.
